In a galaxy far, far away…

In the last tutorial I promised you a galaxy style nail design, so here it is – and it’s a lot simpler than it looks! Get painting for nails that are out of this world… sigh…

YOU WILL NEED:
  • Barry M – nail paint in Black (No 47) (£2.99)
  • Miss Sporty – clubbing colour in Yellow (No 301) (99p)
  • Models Own – in Snow (white) (£5)
  • Topshop Nails – in AWOL (electric blue) (£5)
  • Nails Inc – in Saville Row (maroon) (£9)
  • No 17 lasting fix – in clear (£2.99)
  • a makeup sponge
  • cocktail sticks
  • tweezers

Step 1

apply two coats of black nail varnish, allow to touch dry

Step 2

Using a small piece of makeup sponge and some tweezers, lightly dab the blue colour through the middle, varying pressure and fading out into the black

Step 3

using a new piece of sponge repeat the process with the yellow and purple focussing on the the centre of the blue area and fading out

Step 4

Take a cocktail stick and dipping it in some white varnish, quickly and repeatedly apply small “star clusters” do around 3 clusters.

Step 5

Using the stick apply slightly more varnish to create bigger stars

Step 6

For extra “sparkle” coat the nail with a clear glitter varnish and seal your design with a top coat!

Voila! Let us know how you get on!
